Last Friday, Disney Channel star China Anne McClain stopped by Montevallo Elementary School for a surprise visit and performance. Her sisters, Sierra and Lauryn, also joined her.
While the kids were certainly overcome with excitement, the McClain sisters’ grandparents were just as thrilled. Says Grandpa Johnnie, the retired principle of MES:
I still just can’t believe it. It’s like a dream when I see our grandchildren on stage and on TV, hear them sing and see them perform. They are famous, and it all happened so quickly.
All of the schoolchildren enjoyed China’s performance, and were found singing and dancing along to her popular songs “Dynamite,” “Calling All The Monsters,” and other hits.
While China has appeared in several movies, she hit the big time during her stint on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Now, she is best known for her role on the Disney Channel series A.N.T. Farm.
After the performance, China and her sisters posed for pictures with the kids and will be giving each child a signed photograph to help them remember the special day.
