Terrie Roscoe, a woman whose husband was killed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom while working on a roller coaster, has sued Walt Disney Parks and Resorts for his wrongful death.
In her lawsuit, Roscoe claims her husband was testing the brakes on the Primeval Whirl when a Disney ride operator allegedly “broke protocol instead of announcing that (a) car was going to be released down the track, he announced one time that the car was going to be released and immediately released the car.”
The widow also claims the loudspeaker near her husband wasn’t working properly, so the man was unable to hear the ride operator. This led to the car striking him and delivering fatal head injuries.
Roscoe is seeking damages for wrongful death, pain and suffering, funeral expenses and lost support.
