WestJet Unveils Custom-Painted Aircraft Featuring Sorcerer Mickey

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Sorcerer Mickey on the tail of the “Magic Plane” from WestJet.

The plane was unveiled this week by WestJet, WestJet Vacations, and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts (Canada) and took its inaugural flight on December 3, flying from Calgary to Orlando.

The plane features Sorcerer Mickey on the tail with stars swirling around the fuselage and the wings plus images of the fireworks at Cinderella’s Castle. And according to WestJet, the images on the two sides of the aircraft are mirror images in all aspects but one, but passengers must discover the difference themselves.

The inside of the plane features custom-designed headcovers with stars, and guests will be served cookies in the shape of Disney characters on all flights.

The Magic Plane – which is a Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 – will regularly fly WestJet’s domestic, trans-border, and international flights including 39 flights each week to Orlando from various Canadian cities.
