In May, we mentioned rumors that Walt Disney World’s California Grill may be closing temporarily for renovations and menu updates. Now, our friends at the Disney Food Blog have confirmed these rumors – the restaurant at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be closed temporarily for the first half of 2013.
California Grill will close January 6, 2013 and reopen late summer that same year. The menu will undergo some changes, but the restaurant plans to keep the focus on fresh ingredients and a seasonal menu featuring top-of-the-line sushi.
Other renovations will include tweaking to the interactive kitchen as well as keeping the two private dining rooms for personalized catering for large groups and parties.
