Disney has announced that this year’s Festival of the Masters has been cancelled.
The three-day art festival has been held at Downtown Disney, which is currently undergoing a lengthy transformation into Disney Springs.
According to Disney the area where Festival of the Masters is traditionally located is “unavailable due to expansion work” and therefore Disney is unable to host the event.
The Festival has been housed across Downtown Disney’s West Side.
Last year’s Festival of the Masters featured more than 300 artists who showcased painting, photography, sculptures, glasswork, and more.
Artists who were planning to participate in this year’s Festival of the Master have been notified of the cancellation and their application fees were refunded.
The 2014 Festival of the Masters would have been the 39th annual festival.
Disney has not announced whether the event will return to Disney Springs once the renovations are completed in 2016.
