If you’re planning on visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this year the Animal Programs team has some very special events planned throughout the year.
These events take place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and The Seas with Nemo & Friends in Epcot and give guests an opportunity to connect with nature, talk to experts in the field, and learn more about some amazing animals.
Some of the events at the Animal Kingdom include ‘Spring Forward for Amphibians Day’ on March 4, Party for the Planet on April 22 in celebration of Earth Day, World Turtle Day on May 20, and Primate Day on August 5.
At The Seas with Nemo & Friends guests can celebrate Earth Day on April 22, World Turtle Day on May 20, and World Oceans Day on June 4.
The full schedule for Disney’s Animal Kingdom is:
- March 4: Spring Forward for Amphibians Day
- April 22: Party for the Planet (Earth Day)
- May 6: International Migratory Bird Day
- May 20: World Turtle Day (also happening at The Seas with Nemo and Friends)
- June 10: Pollinator Day
- July 29: Big Cat Day
- August 5: Primate Day
- September 23: Elephant and Rhino Day
Disney will announce more details for each special event prior to the scheduled day.
