The Walt Disney Studios has announced a new slate of live-action films, including new versions of Disney classics.
This spring fans are eagerly awaiting Alice Through the Looking Glass, and next March the live-action Beauty and the Beast arrives in theaters. A live-action Pete’s Dragon flies into theaters on August 12 this year.
A few of the new films in development include Cruella with Emma Stone in the title role, A Wrinkle in Time, Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson, and Dumbo directed by Tim Burton.
Disney is also planning Maleficent 2 starring Angelina Jolie, and a sequel to The Jungle Book with Jon Favreau directing.
Fans of Mary Poppins will be happy to learn that a sequel to the film is in the works starring Emily Blunt and Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda.
