After the devastating earthquake and subsequent tsunami that rocked Japan in March, Tokyo’s Disneyland park had remained closed for several weeks. Now, however, an official announcement has been made that Tokyo Disneyland will reopen this Friday, April 15.
In order to help conserve energy costs, Tokyo Disneylandwill have shortened operating hours. The park will open at 8 a.m. and close at 6 p.m., several hours earlier than its normal 10 p.m. closing time. The adjacent park, DisneySea, will remain temporarily closed at this time.
Additionally, Tokyo Disneyland will donate a portion of the proceeds of ticket sales from each guest who visits the park to the Japanese Red Cross, and will also be offering charity wristbands for sale to help with the relief fund.
