Happy Star Wars Weekends! It’s been another busy week of news from Walt Disney World and beyond, so let’s jump right in!
Disney Food News
This year marks the fifth annual Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic and Disney has released more details and menus for the event. Our friends at the Disney Food Blog have all the delicious details, so be sure to check them out!
This weekend was the first Star Wars Weekend for 2014 (and there’s four more on the way!), and there are several delicious out-of-this-world food items just for the event. The Disney Food Blog has all the news on the new Darth Vader popcorn bucket!
In just a few days the Rock Your Disney Side 24-hour Party happens at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. As with all special events at Disney there will be some amazing food for guests, and our friends at the Disney Food Blog have all the details on the Disneyland goodies.

If you’ve ever dreamed of working at Walt Disney World, listen up! Disney is holding their summer online job fair in the hopes of filling more than 1,200 jobs at the resort. Positions include jobs at the four theme parks, two water parks, and the resort hotels.
Disney Hotels Fan reported on news from Disney’s Polynesian Village – Trader Sam’s is arriving in 2015 and the new Club Disney opens next month!
Our friends at Walt Disney World for Grownups have another great Saturday Style post up – this time they’re showing us how to dress like Minnie Mouse!
The news just keeps coming from the Animal Kingdom. First we learned that the Jammin’ Jungle Parade will have its final show at the end of May and we also heard that a new bird-themed show is headed to Discovery Island this summer. Our friends at Walt Disney World for Grownups also had a delicious write up on the Flame Tree Barbecue.
And over at Epcot there was new on the Eat to the Beat Concerts during the 2014 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Speaking of the Food & Wine Festival, the Disney Food Blog also had some news about a new booth (Patagoina) headed to the festival this year.
Running and Cruising News
There was big news out of runDisney and the Disney Cruise Line this week as the inaugural Castaway Cay Challenge was announced! This all-new race caps off the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and participants will run the Castaway Cay 5K during the 4-night Disney Dream cruise to the Bahamas.
Whew! What a busy week in the World of Disney news. As Star Wars Weekends continue and summer at Disney officially kicks off this wee there’s sure to be more exciting news this week.
