It’s that time again – time for our weekly Disney news recap. There was a lot of good news coming out of Disney this week, so let’s dig in!
Theme Park News
Fans of the Haunted Mansion were happy to hear about the new themed shop opening this fall in the Magic Kingdom. The Haunted Mansion store will be housed in the former Yankee Trader location.
Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World have some great merchandise events planned for the month of August.
And later this month the Villains Unleashed event is scheduled for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney released some more fun information on the event, and tickets are still available.
Disney Food News
Our friends at the Disney Food Blog announced the dates for this year’s Disney Food Blog Snack Attack at Epcot! The party takes place on October 14 at Epcot and tickets go on sale Monday, August 4 at 9 a.m.! Be sure to check the Disney Food Blog on Monday for ticket sale information.
Disney released the information on the 2015 Dining Plans this week and the biggest news might be that photos are not going to be part of the package at Cinderella’s Royal Table anymore.
Special event bookings for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival opened earlier this week to the general public and two additional events were added to the festival. The events – Epcot Food and Wine Late Nights LIVE! and the Epcot Food and Wine Premium Package are full of great options for guest. Check out the full details on the Disney Food Blog.
Other Disney News
The Disney Cruise Line has announced a change to its policy on babies – the cruise line has raised the minimum age for babies to six months. Previously babies as young as 12 weeks old were permitted to sail with parents.
The Walt Disney Company recently announced a Veterans Institute workshop in San Antonio, Texas. This workshop is part of the company’s Heroes Work Here Initiative.
