The news out of Disney this week covered all things holidays – from Halloween on the High Seas to the Christmas holiday at Epcot. So let’s dig in!
Holidays and Festivals at Epcot
As we wait patiently for more news about the Epcot Food & Wine Festival, Disney is giving us small bites with news about the Eat to the Beat concerts. The full Eat to the Beat lineup was released this week and the musical acts are going to be great!
As always, for the most up-to-date information on all things Food & Wine be sure to check out the 2014 Epcot Food & Wine page at the Disney Food Blog!
Speaking of food and Epcot, this week the bookings for the 2014 Candlelight Processional Dining Packages opened to the public. Now is the time to make your lunch or dinner ressies for this very popular holiday event.
Halloween News
It’s still a couple of months away, but Disney is talking about Halloween on land and sea. Disney Cruise Line is celebrating Halloween on the High Seas on all four ships this fall. And, Halloween Time returns to the Disneyland Resort on September 12 and includes a record 14 nights of Mickey’s Halloween Party!
Speaking of the Disney Cruise Line…it was recently named the top Mega-Ship cruise line by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine!
Disney Food News
As we’ve been talking about, Frozen has virtually taken over Disney’s Hollywood Studios this summer and the Disney Food Blog has a delicious review of all the Frozen food and beverage items at the Frozen Summer Fun event. From cupcakes to cookies to hot cocoa (yes, in the middle of summer in Florida!), it all sounds incredible.
Our friends at the Disney Food Blog also have some food-related news from Disneyland Paris. La Place de Remy – a new area inspired by the animated Disney/Pixar’s hit film Ratatouille – has opened at the park. The area includes a new ride, L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, and a new table service dining location named Bistrot Chez Remy.
Hurricanes and Hot Weather
If there are two things Florida is famous for in the summer it’s hot weather and (sometimes) hurricanes. Our friends at Walt Disney World for Grownups covered both topics this week. They gave readers some great tips for traveling to Walt Disney World during a hurricane, and talked about the top 10 ways to beat the heat this summer! (Hint: lots of water and air conditioning!)
Whether you’re at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or home we hope you’re keeping cool this summer!
As the summer rolls on, there’s bound to be more exciting news coming from Disney! Be sure to visit DisZine every day for the latest news, and follow us on Twitter and like us over on Facebook.
