It’s hard to believe that we’re headed into the third full week of January, but we are. And the news coming out of Walt Disney World this week has been rather exciting.
It might seem like it’ll be forever until the 20th Epcot International Food and Wine Festival takes place, but it’s only eight months away! Disney released the dates for this year’s event – September 25 through November 16.
And as always, for all things Food and Wine Festival you’ll want to visit our friends at the Disney Food Blog!
Speaking of Epcot, it was announced this week that a Frozen-themed area is going to be built next to the Norway pavilion. The area between Mexico and Norway is currently an open (though fenced off) area and it’ll be home to an all-new 13,000 square foot meet-and-greet area. This new area is in addition to the Frozen-themed attraction that is taking the place of Maelstrom.
Over at the Magic Kingdom the fan favorite Carousel of Progress celebrated its 40th anniversary as did Space Mountain. Happy anniversary to two of our favorite attractions!
Continuing the theme park news, guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can catch an exclusive sneak peek of Cinderella starting this month. And, starting in February guests can get up close and personal with the golden carriage from the film.
Fans of the Disney XD series Star Wars Rebels need to tune in to the January 19 episode to see (and hear) Lando Calirissian. That’s right, Billy Dee Williams is reprising his role for the animated series.
And in a move that might have broken the Internet, Marvel released the second full-length trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Fans of the Avengers will want to check out this trailer. The film arrives in theaters on May 1!
