It’s been a busy week in the World of Disney news with attraction closings, the first full week of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and more. Let’s dive right in!
Walt Disney World News
The 19th annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is in full swing and once again Chase debit and credit cardholders can take advantage of the Chase VIP Lounge located in the American Adventure Pavilion! It’s the perfect place to rest your feet, get a complimentary beverage, and charge your phones!
Our friends at the Disney Food Blog have been “on the ground” since opening day at the Festival. They have a great review up of the Premium Package and the Epcot Food and Wine Festival LIVE! Event. AJ and her staff have sampled all the menu items at the Festival and you can find those menus with photos at the 2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Marketplace Booths, Menus, and Food Photos page!
Stop by the Disney Food Blog for a review of the Puerto Rico and Brazil Marketplace booths too.
The big news at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the end of the Studio Backlot Tour. This iconic attraction – it’s been since the park opened 25 years ago! – closed for good on September 27. There’s no word yet on what will replace the attraction but rumors of an expanded Pixar Place have been heard. We hope you had a chance to say goodbye to the Backlot Tour!
Disney Merchandise News
There were quite a few merchandise stories this week including new iPhone 6 cases arriving at the Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney and a sneak peek at the new Disney-themed PANDORA charms that are arriving in the parks and at retailers this fall. And, Beautifully Disney is launching a Haunted Mansion-themed collection just in time for Halloween!
