Spring is in full swing at the Walt Disney World Resort as the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival continues, but the House of Mouse is also gearing up for the ‘Coolest Summer Ever’!
Last week Disney announced that reservations were open for this summer’s ‘Frozen’ Summer Fun Premium Package at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The package includes a reserved viewing area for the Royale Welcome parade, VIP seating for the Frozen sing-along show, and a VIP area for the Frozen fireworks dessert party.
Another popular summer event, the Sounds Like Summer concert series, kicks off in June featuring a lineup of some of the best cover bands around. The concert series runs through the end of July.
In food news, Disney has announced that allergy-friendly menus are coming to both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. The menus will be featured at table service and quick service locations at both resorts and will be in place by September. And, The BOATHOUSE – the newest signature dining spot in Downtown Disney – is in its soft opening now! Guests can stop by and enjoy steaks, seafood, and for $120 a ride in an Amphicar!
Out west, Disneyland Resort announced the ‘Disneyland Diamond Days Sweepstakes’ for the 60th anniversary celebration. Prizes will be awarded daily and weekly and one of the prizes is an overnight stay in the Dream Suite above Pirates of the Caribbean.
And if you felt a great disturbance in The Force last week it was just millions of voice crying out in joy over the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The trailer features more new characters and two familiar faces – Han Solo and Chewbacca.
