After releasing three successful albums on Disney-owned Hollywood Records, The Jonas Brothers have parted ways with the company. Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas were also able to purchase the rights to their master recordings, merchandising and publishing.
Says Nick Jonas:
This was a decision that we made as a group. Naturally, as with any partnership, when you do part ways, there is emotion tied to it. We’ve been blessed to have a lot of success with Hollywood and with Disney, but speaking on behalf of my brothers and our team, we’re all looking forward to this next chapter. We’re ready for that next step as a group, and being able to take our work with us was so important.
A spokesperson for the record company said that the trio and Hollywood Records “parted amicably,” and that they wish the brothers “all the best in their future endeavors.”
It’s unclear what the band plans to do now that they’ve parted ways with their record label, but I’m sure their fans are eagerly anticipating their next move.
