Rapunzel and Flynn Rider are coming to a television screen near you.
An all-new Tangled animated series is in development for Disney Channel. The series will be based on the feature film that starred Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Zachary Levi as Flynn Rider/Eugene.
Both Moore and Levi will reprise their roles for the television series.
The series will be set between the events of the feature film and the start of the 2012 short Tangled Ever After. In the series Rapunzel decides to put her crown and wedding on hold so she can seek out adventures, much to the dismay of her father.
Rapunzel will be accompanied on her adventures by Eugene, Pascal, Maximus the horse, the Snuggly Duckling Pub Thugs, and new character Cassandra, who just happens to be Rapunzel’s handmaid.
The Tangled series will also feature music by Academy Award winner Alan Menken.
The series will debut on Disney Channel in 2017.
