Beginning October 2, Stitch’s Great Escape in the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland will no longer be open daily.
The attraction is moving to a “seasonal” operation schedule and will only be open when park attendance is higher.
Stitch’s Great Escape opened back in 2004, taking the place of ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter which opened in 1995.
The attraction uses a theater-in-the-round format, but the Stitch attraction is less frightening than its predecessor.
The attraction tells the story of what happened prior to the events in 2002’s Lilo & Stitch.
There have been rumors swirling about lately that a new attraction will replace Stitch’s Great Escape. There is no official word from Disney aside from the news of a seasonal operation for the attraction.
