With Storybook Circus already almost completely open, Walt Disney World’s Fantasyland Expansion is starting to take shape and become closer to reality. One of the attractions that we’re most looking forward to is Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, a Little Mermaid-themed dark ride much like The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure. Recently, the Disney Parks Blog gave us a sneak peek of the attraction with a look at some of the incredible theming that’s going into the attraction and its beautiful queue.
As guests enter the attraction and walk through the queue, they will encounter a shipwreck, finding the remains of the ship as they are enveloped by the rocks on which the ship perished and head into the caves underneath Prince Eric’s seaside palace:
Once they reach the loading area of the ride, however, guests will find themselves in Prince Eric’s palace itself, a beautiful Mediterranean-style castle that we shared a sneak peek of a few weeks ago.
With such incredible details, we can’t wait to see this beautiful attraction in person. Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid is currently set to open later this year.
