Reedy Creek Fire Department was called to a small fire at Magic Kingdom Wednesday afternoon.
The fire, which ignited at the Enchanted Tiki Room attraction, was reported around 5:30 p.m. Firefighters rushed to the scene and soon reported the flames under control. The fire, which began in the attic of the building, was actually extinguished by the attraction’s sprinkler system, but authorities evacuated the area and inspected the building to ensure that the fire was completely out.
After the inspection, the area was reopened to guests, and as of 8 p.m., only the Enchanted Tiki Room was still closed to guests.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported, and it appears that the sprinkler system successfully kept the flames from spreading to other structures.
Fire also hit Disneyland last month, when authorities were called to the parks’ Fantasyland area to investigate smoke.
