Shanghai Disneyland has been open for just 11 months but the theme park has already welcomed 10 million guests.
Since the park opened in June 2016, the park has been committed to “deliver a guest experience that’s authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese.”
Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger said of the park, We’re thrilled to see millions of people from across China embrace Shanghai Disney Resort.”
The parks first expansion – a Toy Story themed land – is set to open in June 2018.
The park has already been honored by several industry organizations including: Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), Visual Effects Society (VES) and China Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (CAAPA).
Shanghai Disney just kicked off a month-long celebration that ends on the park’s first anniversary of June 16.
