The wait is almost over.
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is scheduled to officially open to guests on May 28 at the Magic Kingdom.
The family friendly coaster is being called the “crowning jewel” of the New Fantasyland expansion and was dedicated at a press event on May 2 at Walt Disney World.
“Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is both literally and figuratively the centerpiece of New Fantasyland, so we knew it had to be something special,” said Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs during the ride’s dedication. “The attraction appeals to everyone in the family and provides just the right blend of heart, humor, and thrill while keeping with the charm of this special land.”
The coaster will immerse Magic Kingdom guests into the world of the Seven Dwarfs and was inspired by the classic Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train features an innovative ride system that allows the coaster’s cars to pivot back and forth during the twists and turns of the ride. The ride also features Audio-Animatronic characters.
FastPass+ reservations are now available for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
