The third season of Disney Junior’s hit series Jake and the Never Land Pirates premieres on Friday, January 3 on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.
The new season introduces viewers to new characters including pirate ghosts, mummies, and robots. Jake and his crew will also be introduced to new gadgets and some special super powers including Jake’s Mega-Mecha Sword, a robot suit, and an invisibility ring.
Viewers will be treated to extended-length episodes and a revamped rock and roll theme song performed by Sharky and Bones of The Never Land Pirate Band.
Jake’s third season will feature guest appearance by Jack McBrayer as a pirate mummy, Mark Hamill as the pirate Silverjack, Carl Reiner as ghost pirate Captain Treasure Tooth, Rico Rodriguez as Snow-Foot, Estelle Harris as Peg-Leg Peg, and Jo Frost as Nanny Nell, Captain Hook’s nanny.
New episode of the show will air throughout January and February, with a special extended episode on February 28 featuring three 11-minute episodes with Jake and Hook in an ultimate showdown.
The new season of Jake and the Never Land Pirates debuts at 8:30 a.m. on Disney Channel and 7:50 p.m. on Disney Junior on January 3, 2014.
