Samuel L. Jackson, who played Mace Windu in the previous Star Wars trilogy, would love to have a role in the new films Disney’s planning.
According to media reports, Jackson believes fans would enjoy finding out what became of his character – whether he’s truly dead, or whether another explanation can be worked into the story line. Even if Jackson cannot reprise his role, he says he’s eager to be a part of the franchise in some way. Says Jackson:
I just want to stay associated with the franchise. I always loved the idea of it. That there’s this whole civilization out there somewhere else that’s just as much fun and different and diverse and wild as we are.
For now, fans will have to wait and see what plans Disney has for the new trilogy, and whether there will be a way for Jackson to remain a part of the franchise.
