Runners participating in the Wine and Dine Half Marathon and next year’s Goofy Challenge during the Walt Disney World Marathon will be wearing some newly designed bling around their neck.
The designers at Disney Yellow Shoes have created two new finisher medals to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Wine and Dine Half Marathon this fall and the 10th anniversary of the Goofy Challenge in 2015.
The 5th anniversary Wine and Dine medal features a spinner in the center of the medal. One side of the spinner represents past medals and features Spaceship Earth and the other side features a running Chef Mickey.
Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the Goofy Challenge – a half marathon and the full Walt Disney World Marathon. The new medal features Goofy colors and also has a spinner middle, with one side celebrating the half marathon and the other side features an upside down Goofy celebrating the full 26.2 miles of the marathon.
Registration for the 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon opens April 22. The Wine and Dine Half Marathon is sold out.
