If you’re making plans to ring in the New Year at the Walt Disney World Resort you’re in luck! Disney recently announced the lineup for special events and dining for the holiday.
At Epcot guests can enjoy DJs and live music in World Showcase in addition to two holiday showings of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at 6 and 11:40 p.m. Both shows will feature a countdown and “pyrotechnic salute” to the New Year.
The Magic Kingdom in ringing in 2016 with New Year’s Eve ‘Fantasy in the Sky’ fireworks on two nights – December 30 and December 31, both at 11:50 p.m. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is presenting a fireworks show on December 31 near the Hyperion Theater.
Guests at the Magic Kingdom can also make reservations for a New Year’s Eve fireworks dessert party at the Tomorrowland Terrace on December 30 and 31.
In Epcot guests can enjoy dinner and fireworks at La Hacienda de San Angel starting at 9:30 p.m. on December 31. This five-course feast includes a Surf and Turf entrée and is $280.13 for adults and $73.46 for kids ages 3-9.
Monsieur Paul in the France pavilion will offer a three-course lunch or dinner for $85 per person and a four-course premiere dining event from 8:45-9:50 p.m. for $235 person ($295 with wine). And LeCellier is offering a multi-course menu for seatings at 4:30, 6:45, and 9 p.m.
There is also a New Year’s Eve party planned at World ShowPlace featuring a family-friendly dinner buffet, photo opportunities, and more. Dinner will be served from 4:30-10 p.m. and costs $71.84 for adults and $44.37 for kids.
Several of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are offering special New Year’s Eve events too.
The California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort has a special gala event with food stations and complimentary alcoholic beverages. The gala starts at 8 p.m. and costs $625 per person. New Year’s Even dinner at Victoria & Albert’s is a 10-course meal, and Narcoossee’s is celebrating with two dinner seatings.
A New Year’s Day brunch is planned at Chef Mickey’s. The price is $44.72 for adults and $26.62 for kids ages 3-9.
