This holiday season marks the end of The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The fan-favorite holiday light display has been at the park for 20 years but is ending this year to make way for two new lands – Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land.
As part of its last holiday season guests can enjoy two special events at the Lights – a Merry & Bright Dessert Party and a Merry & Bright Dinner Reception.
Reservations opened this week for both events.
The Merry & Bright Dessert Party will take place nightly from November 6 through December 30 and includes a dessert party, reserved viewing area for the lights, and a keepsake stadium blanket.
The dessert party will happen from 7-8:30 p.m. on most nights except December 25-30 when it happens from 8:30-10 p.m. There will be no dessert party on November 17, December 9, and December 18. The price of the dessert party is $69 for adults and $39 for kids ages 3-9. Reservations can be made at the Walt Disney World Resort website or by calling 407-939-3463.
The Merry & Bright Dinner Reception will only happen on January 1-3, 2016. Guests can ring in the New Year with small plates, specialty beverages, and a keepsake shadowbox featuring a miniature version of The Osborne Lights.
The dinner reception is planned for 8:30-10 p.m. on New Year’s Day, January 1, and from 7-8:3o p.m. on January 2 and 3. The price is $99 for adults and $54 for kids ages 3 to 9. Reservations can be made online or by calling 407-939-3463.
