Put a little flight in your step and channel your inner pixie – registration for the Tinker Bell Half Marathon is now open!
The Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend at Disneyland takes place Friday, January 17 through Sunday, January 19 at the Disneyland Resort. In addition to the half marathon, runners also have a chance to register for the new Tinker Bell 10K race, and the Never Land Family Fun Run 5K.
As of press time, registration for the half marathon was at 87 percent capacity, while the Tinker Bell 10K was at 51 percent capacity. The Never Land Family Fun Race 5K was at 55 percent capacity and the Kids Races were at 62 percent capacity.
The Tinker Bell 10K is a timed race and will feature Disney characters and entertainment on the course which goes throughout the Disneyland resort area. The race takes place on Saturday, January 18.
The Tinker Bell Half Marathon will be run on Sunday, January 19, through Never Land, the Disneyland Resort, and the historic streets of Anaheim. Runners can choose to run the race as an individual or as a team of two with another runner. Those wishing to run as a team must register for the race as an individual and then register as a team.
The Never Land Family Fun Run is scheduled for Friday, January 17 and takes runners and walker on a magical 5K course through Never Land and the Disneyland Resort area. The weekend also features kids races on Saturday, January 18, at the Simba Parking Lot near the Downtown Disney District. Kids ages 8 and under can participate in a 100m dash, a 200m dash, a 400m dash, and for the babies, a diaper dash. All participating kids will receive a finishers medal.
Also in 2014, anyone who completes both the Tinker Bell Half Marathon at Disneyland and the Disney Princess Half Marathon at Walt Disney World will earn a special pink version of the runDisney Coast to Coast Race Challenge Medal. The Princess Half Marathon is currently at 87 percent capacity so time is running out!
