Runners take your mark!
The registration for the 2014 Disneyland Half Marathon opens today at noon EST!
The Happiest Race on Earth, the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend takes place August 28 through August 31 this year at the Disneyland Resort.
Events during the Half Marathon Weekend include the half marathon, the Disneyland 10K, the Disneyland 5K, the Dumbo Double Dare, Kids Races, the Health and Fitness Expo, and a Pasta Party.
The Half Marathon course will take runners through the Disneyland Resort, into the streets of Anaheim, and through Angel Stadium. The Disneyland Family Fun Run 5K takes runners through the Disneyland Resort with the start and finish lines in the Downtown Disney District.
Racers who register for the Dumbo Double Dare will run the Disneyland 10K and the Disneyland Half Marathon for a total of 19.3 miles. Runners who complete the Dumbo Double Dare will receive a special finisher medal in addition to their 10K and half marathon medals.
The 2013 Disneyland Half Marathon sold out in record time last year.
Update: As of 3 p.m. EST on January 28, the Disneyland Half Marathon is at 71 percent capacity. The Dumbo Double Dare and the Disneyland 10K have already SOLD OUT. The Family Fun Run 5K is at 61 percent capacity while the Kids’ Races are at 99 percent capacity. We will update again later this week.
