Three new characters have been spotted in Anaheim’s Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. OCWeekly is reporting that Princess Rapunzel and Flynn Rider made their debut at Disneyland on Friday. Meanwhile Duffy the Disney Bear debuted at Disney’s California Adventure earlier this week.
While Rapunzel will not debut for more than a month, the characters are out working in the park helping to promote the upcoming animated film. Guests can do the usual meet and greet activities, including getting pictures with the characters and of course signatures. The film will debut on November 24th.
Duffy the Bear, meanwhile is something of an enigma to Disney guests, but not so overseas. From the article:
The story behind the plush bear is while Mickey was getting ready for a long voyage, Minnie took time to sew him a bear so he wouldn’t get lonely. At the DisneySea park in Tokyo, Duffy rivals Mickey Mouse as the most popular character.
If you’d like to join in the fan club, you can purchase stuffed Duffy Bears for $25 each.
