As work continues in the transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs, there’s word that a new restaurant from the Patina Restaurant Group is headed to area.
Recently paperwork was filed in Orange County for a permit on two former Pleasure Island venues – the old 8Trax and Mannequin’s. The permit states that a new restaurant owned by the Patina Restaurant Group will be located there.
The plans for the restaurant include “two floors, a dining area, kitchen, [and] cast and guest restrooms.”
The Patina Restaurant Group is based in Los Angeles and already has a presence at Walt Disney World, as the group runs Via Napoli, Tutto Italia, and Tutto Gusto at Epcot.
There is no word yet on the type of food that will be served at the new restaurant, or what the name will be.
Disney Springs development is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
