A popular fan experience at the Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting some exciting new options.
The D-Tech Me experience will be located inside Darth’s Mall during this year’s event. The D-Tech Me is a 10-minute experience that uses the world’s highest resolution, single shot 3D face scanner. The image captured by the scanner is used to create a figurine with the guest’s face.
This year’s D-Tech Me will feature the Carbon-Freeze Me and Stormtrooper, in addition to two new figures – Alderaan Princess and X-Wing Pilot.
The X-Wing Pilot, Carbon-Freeze Me, and Stormtrooper figures can as a male or female character. For younger fans both the Alderaan Princess and Carbon-Freeze Me figures will be available with youthful appearances.
This year is also the first time that guests can purchase a 16-inch figure.
The D-Tech Me 7-inch figures cost $99.95 each plus shipping and sales tax. The 16-inch figures retail for $1,499.95 each plus shipping and tax. Completed figures arrive 7-8 weeks after guests participate in the D-Tech Me experience.
