This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and we have news about a couple new items for this year’s festival.
It was announced last week that the cast of ABC’s hit daytime show The Chew will be taping episodes on location at the festival on October 7, 8, and 9. Those episodes will air October 12-16. Tickets were available for the tapings but they are no longer available.
The cast of The Chew will also be hosting several special events.
This year’s festival will also feature a new area in Future World called “Next Eats.” This area is connected to The Chew and will feature two new marketplace booths – Sustainable Chew Marketplace featuring three dishes from the hosts of the show, and Chew Lab which will feature food science mixed with culinary trends.
In other festival news the Flying Fish Café at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn has announced this year’s Winery Events Series. This year all the events will be booked through the Food and Wine Festival booking system. For the entire list of special events at the Flying Fish Café visit the Disney Food Blog.
The Flying Fish Café events will be available for booking on Thursday, July 30 – which is likely also the day that booking will open for all special events and low-cost events at the festival. There has been no confirmation from Disney regarding when reservations can be made for the Food and Wine festival events aside from the Flying Fish Café events.
The 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival runs September 25 through November 16.
