Fans of Disney Junior’s Jake and the Never Land Pirates can now download a new “appisode” in the Disney Junior Appisode App for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.
The Disney Junior Appisodes app allows fans to experience interactive viewing where they can touch, tap, swipe, tilt, shake, and talk their way through activities that are embedded into full episodes of Disney Junior shows.
The new appisode includes two Jake and the Never Land Pirates episodes – Pirate Mummy’s Tomb and Never Sands of Time.
In the Pirate Mummy’s Tomb episodes kids can play along as Jake and Captain Flynn unearth mysteries of the Pirate Mummy’s Tomb. App users can sail Bucky over the Never Sands to find Captain Flynn, explore the Pirate Mummy’s tomb, and help Jake and his friends free Captain Flynn’s ship.
In the Never Sands of Time episode kids can save the day by stopping Captain Hook from stealing the golden Never Sands of Time.
Disney Junior Appisodes launched in 2012 with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally Appisode, and has topped the iTunes charts for weeks even making it to #1 on the Overall Free List. The app also won the 2012 Mobile Excellence Award for Best Content Extension Made for Mobile and the iKids award for Best Web/App Series.
The app also includes “appisodes” from Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins.
The Jake and the Never Land Pirates Appisode is $4.99 in the Apple App Store.
