There’s a lot to get excited about at the Disneyland Resort this summer. A few weeks ago, we saw the openings of the new attractions Star Tours: The Adventures Continue and The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, and a number of new experiences and updates are coming to the Resort’s parks and hotels as well. In addition to all these exciting new additions, guests at Disney California Adventure Park will also be able to enjoy two all-new character experiences.
The first new experience will give guests the chance to meet some of their favorite characters from the Disney/Pixar film Up. Beginning June 25, guests will have the opportunity to meet the characters Russell and Dug at the new Wilderness Explorers’ Camp at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. After being met by the friendly dog Dug as they enter the trail, young guests can participate in Wilderness Explorer activities and earn merit badges as they travel along the trail. Then, at the Ahwahnee Camp Circle, guests can join Russell in a special ceremony where they graduate to Senior Wilderness Explorers.
July 9 will bring the debut of another new character experience, this time featuring popular Disney Channel characters Phineas and Ferb. The two characters will star in the show “Phineas and Ferb’s Rockin’ Rollin’ Dance Party,” an interactive dance party that lets guests join in on fun dances and activities while a DJ plays favorite songs from the series.
