Mylan and Disney have announced a brand-new digital e-book that teaches kids and adults about severe food allergies and anaphylaxis.
The two companies formed a partnership back in 2014 to help create unique resources for families living with severe food allergies.
The new digital storybook, ‘Show-and-Tell Scout’ follows Scout, a young fox living with life-threatening food allergies to milk and peanuts.
On Scout’s first day of school he has a plan to manage his food allergies but he didn’t plan for what happens at snack time.
The book teaches kids and parents how to respond to food allergies, what to avoid, how to develop an emergency plan, and how important it is to carry EpiPens. The book also includes an FAQ section via hyperlinks throughout the story.
