Monday is the Last Day for Disneyland’s Maliboomer

As we reported in August, Disneyland’s Maliboomer will not make the cut in the new Disney California Adventure, which is currently being renovated and will be through 2012. Monday, Labor Day, will be the last day guests will be able to experience the attraction.

Unfortunately for the ride’s fans, who recently began a “save the Maliboomer” facebook page, Disney states that the attraction will no longer fit into the theme of the park, which will take on “a return to the romance and charm of California’s oceanfront playgrounds of the early 1900s.”

On Tuesday, after Monday’s final rides, crews will remove the attraction.

  • Maliboomer is a good ride. It’s fun, thrilling, and a blast. I think that it should stay in he park. It also doesn’t use a lot of space.

  • Corey — I thought the same thing about the ride’s footprint. It doesn’t really free up a lot of space, so the impetus to close it doesn’t seem clear.
