Last night, television performers, writers, directors, and producers were honored for their achievements at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards. Taking home the top award of Outstanding Comedy Series was the hit ABC show Modern Family, which took home more awards than any other comedy series.
In addition to Outstanding Comedy Series, Modern Family was also recognized for the achievements of several of its performers, with Eric Stonestreet (Cam) winning Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and Julie Bowen (Claire) honored as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. The show’s co-creator and executive producer Steven Levitan was also honored for his directing work on the show, earning the award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series.
ABC was also represented last night by Tom Bergeron, who took home the award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program for his work on Dancing With the Stars. ABC and other Disney/ABC Television Group channels were also honored with several awards last week at the Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards.
