Epcot’s annual Disney Trading event returns this fall, and promises to be just as fun as years past.
Dubbed “Mickey’s Circus,” the title of this year’s trading event pays homage to Magic Kingdom and the construction going on in Fantasyland. Says Jeanne Lewis, product developer for pins:
We wanted to give a nod to the new development taking place in Fantasyland. Knowing that Storybook Circus was opening there, we thought we could re-create a “circus” in World ShowPlace at Epcot. With the bright colors and many circus acts, there seemed to be lots of great content for merchandise.
For the event, about 26 pin items have been created, including individual pins and boxed sets. There will even be exclusive items specifically for Passholders. Of course, the trading event isn’t just about pins – there will also be new 9-inch and 3-inch Vinylmation figures for collectors to acquire, as well.
Mickey’s Circus Trading Event runs from September 7-9, 2012. Two days will be dedicated exclusively to pin trading while the third day of the event will be dedicated to Vinylmation. For more information, please visit eventservices.disney.go.com.
