Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction is set to open next year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the former home of the Great Movie Ride.
This will be the first-ever Mickey-themed attraction at the Disney Parks and details about the attraction were announced at last weekend’s D23 Expo Japan.
The ride will feature a new theme song and will be a 21/2D experience – no 3D glasses required.
When the ride starts guests will see a new Mickey Mouse short showing Mickey and Minnie getting ready for a picnic. Guests will board cars for a “zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.”
There is no official opening date yet, other than 2019. We will share more details about the attraction throughout the year.
