This is definitely the week to be in Orlando if you like to cook and want to be on television!
Last week, Food Network was in town holding a casting call for 24 Hour Restaurant Battle. This week, it’s Gordon Ramsay’s turn.
Ramsay’s show “MasterChef” will be in town, holding auditions for Season 2 of the series, in which the celebrity chef, along with judges Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot, coach, test, and critique contestants in a series of culinary challenges. The winner walks away with a large cash prize. While the amount is unspecified at present, last year’s winner, Whitney Miller, won $250,000 and the opportunity to have her own cookbook published.
Interested applicants should be “talented, everyday, at-home cooks.” Auditions will be held on Saturday, November 20, from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy, located at 8511 Commodity Circle, Orlando, Florida 32819.
