Disney’s most iconic villain and a Brave princess are set to join the roster of heroes and villanins in Disney Infinity’s 2.0 Edition.
Disney Interactive announced the addition of Maleficent and Princess Merida during a preview of Disney’s Maleficent. The live-action film opened nationwide on May 30 and stars Angelina Jolie in the title role.
The horned fairy and the fiery-haired princess will be joining The Avengers in Disney Infinity 2.0, including Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and Hawkeye.
Princess Merida was chosen to be included in Infinity 2.0 through a poll on social media. Her inclusion was announced via Twitter.
The next edition of the popular video game is set to debut for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo in September. Like other Infinity characters, Maleficent and Merida will be available as action figures, each with a special power.
