The always-crowded Central Plaza – or hub – area at the Magic Kingdom is about to get a facelift.
Disney announced last week that the Central Plaza area between the end of Main Street U.S.A. and Cinderella Castle is going to be expanded.
The expansion will include sculpted gardens, more pathways for guests, and more restaurant seating.
The two restaurants that are going to benefit from this expansion are Casey’s Corner and The Plaza. The outdoor seating for both of these locations will nearly double in size when the project is complete.
In addition to two additional pathways – which should ease congestion in that area – there will also be a special viewing area for fireworks and other performances.
Construction for this multi-phase project is already underway, and it should be completed in 2015.
