Yesterday, over 17,000 runners from 50 states and 19 countries took part in the 2012 Disneyland Half Marathon. The course was the first Disneyland race to travel down Route 66 in the brand-new Cars Land, and runners raced through a course that included Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, Angel Stadium, and the streets of Anaheim.
The first of these thousands of runners to complete the 13.1 mile course was Jimmy Grabow of Running Springs, CA, who set a new record for the race with his time of 1:05:29. The first woman to finish was Cindy Lynch of Cardif, CA, who finished with a time of 1:24:45. Right behind her was Tinker Bell Half Marathon winner Kellie Nickerson, finishing in 1:26:29.
Congratulations to all of yesterday’s runners!
