Time to shop for next Christmas – or spend that holiday cash: The Art of Disney has lots of exciting opportunities lined up for the month of January for Disney collectors out there. Check out what’s going on throughout Disneyland and Walt Disney World for the month of January!
Friday, January 14: Join other Disney Pin enthusiasts for Disneyland Resort Trading Night. Complete the collection that you’ve been working on and make new friends at the same time! The event will take place at Disney’s Paradise Pier.
Saturday, January 15: Marie Osmond will be on hand for a special appearance and to sign her new Disney Theme Park Edition doll inspired by The Princess and the Frog. Event will take place at Disneyland in The Disney Gallery on Main Street U.S.A. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sunday, January 16: Disney will celebrate the power of The Force with new Star Wars-inspired Vinylmation. Disney Design Group Character Artist Mike Sullivan will be on hand to sign the new releases in a special appearance. This event will also take place at Disneyland Resort, at D Street in Downtown Disney from 2-5 p.m.
Beginning Saturday, January 29: The Disney Gallery will pay tribute to ships with their exhibit, Magic on the Water. The collection will highlight nearly sixty years of nautical design, and will include everything from the Storybook Land canal boat to Disney’s latest and greatest creation, the Disney Dream. The new exhibit will also feature original art inspired by Disney Cruise Line. Some of the artists will be on hand for a special signing of their work from 9-11 a.m. at The Disney Gallery.
Also on hand will be Disney-Inspired artists Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily, who will be debuting and signing the latest release in the 55th anniversary collection of vehicles replicated to celebrate this momentous milestone. The latest release depicts the Fantasyland Pirate Ship Restaurant.
Finally, Art of Disney celebrates January with its Artist Sketch of the Month. Designed by artist Brianna Garcia, this month’s sketch depicts Rapunzel. The piece is available from Off the Page at Disney’s California Adventure.
