The grand opening of Shanghai Disneyland will be celebrated with a television special airing June 16 on Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD.
The television special, Grand Opening Celebration of Shanghai Disney Resort, airs at 8 p.m. ET on those three networks, and again on June 17 at 10 p.m. ET on Freeform.
Sofia Carson (Descendants) will serve as the telecast narrator.
The telecast will feature Disney CEO Bob Iger, nearly 3,000 guests, celebrities, and government officials at Storybook Castle – the heart of Shanghai Disneyland.
Pianist Lang Lang will perform a custom arrangement of “Let It Go” from Frozen and Chinese movie star Sun Li will also perform.
Shanghai Disney Resort officially opens on June 16.
