Today, guests at Epcot had the chance to ride the new Frozen Ever After attraction – for the very first time (in forever).
According to several online reports the queue for the attraction was nearing a 300-minute wait (that’s five hours!) by mid-morning. The line stretched all the way to the Outpost bridge and back to China.
As is often the case with new attractions the ride reportedly hit a few non-magical speed bumps along the way, shutting down at 11:30 a.m. Guests who were in line were given the option to stay in the queue or get a FastPass+ to return later. The ride reopened at 12:45 p.m.
Frozen Ever After is housed in the former location of Maelstrom and uses the same Viking boats and track from that now extinct ride. The inside queue area has been completely transformed into the town of Arendelle – complete with Oaken’s Trading Post.
The ride takes guests through several scenes featuring Olaf, Sven, Kristoff, Anna, and Elsa – culminating in a scene with Elsa on the balcony of her ice palace singing ‘Let it Go.’
