Our friends at the Disney Food Blog have been busily testing the new dining establishments that will be opening in Disney California Adventure’s Cars Land, including Flo’s V-8 Cafe.
According to DFB, the land immediately makes you feel as if you’ve stepped into the world of Radiator Springs. The cafe itself is a counter-service restaurant that will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options. It’s important to take a look at the decor as well; Disney Imagineers really went all out with the decor, including a giant light fixture made from tail pipes.
The cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating, walk-up kiosks and two dining rooms that offer a view of Sally’s Cozy Cones and Ornament Valley, respectively.
As for the food, Flo’s V-8 Cafe will be taking a cue from the popularity of the “rotisserie” in the 1950’s and serve rotisserie menu items – like pork loin and citrus turkey – with a modern twist. Vegetarians will also be able to enjoy the cafe with a Vegetarian Tater Bake or vegetarian baked beans.
In addition to classic milkshakes, Flo’s will offer Coca Cola products as well as beverages from two local breweries. Adult guests will also be able to order wines by the glass. For dessert, it’s all about the pie at Flo’s and diners will be able to choose from delicious varieties like apple cheddar, chocolate mud pie, strawberry rhubarb and blueberry peach.
Overall, it looks like Flo’s V-8 Cafe will have a little something for everyone to enjoy. Thanks so much to our friends at the Disney Food Blog for posting their first look at this amazing restaurant. Will you be dining here when Cars Land officially opens June 15?
