Several Disneyland attractions are returning this summer.
Fantasmic! reopens on July 17, in time to celebrate the park’s 62nd anniversary. The nighttime spectacular will feature its original fanfare and theme song in addition to new mist screens, state-of-the-art projections, and new scenes including Aladdin and The Lion King.
The Rivers of America attractions including Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia, and Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes are all reopening this summer.
The Pirate’s Lair reopens today, June 16, while the others reopen July 29. There is a new “enhanced adventure” in the Columbia Gorge section with five waterfalls, and the Rivers of America will feature a new waterfront.
The new waterfront will feature elevated trestles for the Disneyland Railroad, which also reopens on July 29. And for the first time ever, the Disneyland Railroad will take a left turn to continue around Disneyland.
