Ryan Gosling, who wooed audiences with his romantic performance as ‘Noah’ in “the Notebook,” got an early start in showbiz with Disney. As a cast member on “The All New Mickey Mouse Club” in the early 90’s Ryan had the unique opportunity to showcase his many talents alongside other young upstarts like Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera. So why did the charming Canadian recently tell Interview magazine that the experience was kind of depressing? Gosling describes a “disheartening” experience during these early days exposed to the harshness of showbiz.
“It was kind of depressing because when I got there, they realized that I wasn’t really up to snuff in comparison with what some of the other kids were able to do. I remember one time they put four of us in a dance routine, but I was so off. I was on the end, so they just pushed the shot in closer on the other three guys to frame me out.” (San Francisco Chronicle)
Showbiz couldn’t push Ryan out of the frame for long though, he went on to see formidable success in film & television after those early days on ‘MMC.’ He also received the honor of being named one of the 50 Hottest Bachelors by People Magazine after starring in “The Notebook.” Now that doesn’t sound so depressing Ryan!
