Less than two years after joining Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney District, Kitson Kids is closing their doors April 30. The store is part of a chain that caters to celebrity clients, and offered merchandise ranging from kid’s books to $150 designer jeans. Dean Khial, a Kitson representative, said in an e-mail that the store will be holding a sale on their merchandise, where shoppers can receive discounts between 20 and 50 percent off.
Apricot Lane, a fashion boutique, is slated to take over the spot in June and will cater to “mothers pushing strollers,” Stacey Graham, an Apricot Lane spokeswoman said.
The boutique will sell clothing and accessories targeted towards teens and women, and will have prices ranging from $90 to $200 for premium denim and around $30 for shirts. Graham believes that the store will cater largely to fashionable moms. “So far, nothing has really been the fashion for the moms. I think that’s going to be the target for them,” she said.
Sanuk, a shoe store, will also be coming to Downtown Disney District this June. Specialty denim store Blink opened earlier this month.
